piggie partner for pixie!

i brought pixie yesterday but there was only 1 male and a female so i couldnt get both..

i want to get her piggie company. should i wait till other piggies arrive to our gibraltar pet store or go into spain to a pet store i know where they have animals in bad state housing and not clean.. to rescue them from there.. what i dont want to do is get a sick piggie without knowing and making pixie sick too


any suggestions?

i would go to a rescue but there are no near in spain where i can reach as i dont drive a car the far as i can go is la linea.

It would be best to rescue. However Pixie may be pregnant if she was in with a male but may be better to wait and see x

I would be very wary about getting a piggy from a bad place. The learning curve in terms of pregnancy (girls can get pregnant from 4 weeks onwards), and boys can father babies from 3 weeks onwards), easily transmittable illnesses like ringworm, mites or URI (upper respiratory tract infection) and can be very steep - and very expensive! mites and URI can both kill and rignworm (fungal) is transmittable to humans.

Are that girl and boy in the Gibraltar place still together and how old are they?

no i brought the girl and the boy was sold the next day. there both 3 and half months old they came from the same litter
