I had a phonecall from a friend today saying that one of her guinea pigs smells like sick! So I go over to her house and sure enough he does! His cagemate dosen't smell at all, we gave him a bath and used piggie shampoo and still he smells, its a really overpowering smell of sick... Is he okay? Is there a reason for this foul smell? My friend is running about her house like a headless chicken right now so any help would be amazing!

I have no idea what the smell is but one things for sure, guinea pigs are the only rodents that can't vomit so...

When my Bingo had an ear infection he smelt of cheese and sick because of the pus. Have you checked in the piggies ears?

I did have a look over oliver's ears and they seem perfectly fine, i've chacked his teeth and bottom too, I have no idea what this is, and I'm a little worried for the little boy x

To be honest I'd advise your friend to see a vet to be on the safe side. Guinea pigs shouldn't have this smell especially after a bath.

Is he long haired or short haired? Could he have a small abscess somewhere that's maybe burst?
