Some of you may have seen my post at the weekend about how the shop I set up to sell piggie inspired t-shirts and clothing needs a new name.

The current name is paw-prints http://paw-prints.spreadshirt.co.uk/ but someone else is already using this.

I would like to try some other animals at some point so the ideas aren't too piggy-specific (except popcorn prints but if you don't know piggies, you wouldn't understand this anyway!)

I've come up with some ideas. Please vote for your favourite and help me decide! I really appreciate your help :)

They are:

Popcorn Prints
Furry Faces
Furry Prints
Squeaky Prints
Squeaky Shirts
 
I like Furry Prints or Squeaky Prints (sorry, that's not helping you narrow them down much, is it?!)
 
How frustrating for you Louise after all the hard work you have done. I do like Popcorn Prints although it wouldn't immediately make me think of anything to do with animals (not sure if this is a big issue for you?). Furry Faces has a nice ring to it and it wouldn't pidgeon hole you into any particular animal genre, Furry Prints also works for that reason, but doesn't trip off the tongue quite so easily!:)) My only comment re the "Squeaky" names is that if you wanted to do anything other than rodents, other animals aren't generally associated with sqeaky sounds.

I love the name popcorn prints. I know it doesn't make you think of animals but it does have a lovely ring to it

I know - was feeling pretty down at the weekend but onwards and upwards etc etc :))

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head with your comments (exactly the same thoughts been going through my head, r.e. popcorn, squeaky etc! I thought popcorn had a nice ring to it and would work as a generic name for anything (but piggie-owners would have a special understanding of it!) I like 'furry' but 'prints' with 'furry' doesn't work as well as 'faces'! But 'faces' doesn't describe t-shirts as well. Was thinking, I can always just have a by-line "t-shirt designs inspired by small furries" or something similar.

Basically, you can see why I need some help!
 
How frustrating for you chuck, can i throw a spanner in the works if you are considering other animals...Furry Things? of Furry Fings!

What a fab idea, thank you! I'm currently playing around with the website - I'm going to try and get it on my own domain name in a frame (when I've got a name!). That means it doesn't have to have .spreadshirt.co.uk in the title and also hopefully, it will be a lot more flexible so I can have all sort of other pages (links, rescue sites etc).

I'll definitely add a page for customer feedback - thanks again! You can be my first quote :)) x

Really appreciate the ideas! I'm wondering if 'things' is just a bit too generic. Please keep ideas coming though! People are welcome to vote for this if they want to! x

One thing I need to be careful of is names that might imply the clothes are actually FOR the animals. I've been doing some advertising on google and the amount of people typing in "clothes for guinea pigs" is just franky, scary! I think creature couture might sounds a bit like that?

Pretty paws & animal magic are both taken at companies house :(

Guinea gear (bit too specific for piggies)
Woolly wardrobe (too sheep-y!)

I went through some fluffy ideas yesterday - fluffy prints, fluffy shirts, fluffy couture. I like fluffballs too but there was quite a large American shop called that - not sure if that matters but just trying to go for something completely new!

Everyone is welcome to vote for any of these ideas though :))

Oh, sorry I just get it! You mean like an acronym P.A.W.! Clever!

Great idea - but just think I should keep away from paw prints altogether, I don't want to get in trouble with the other person using it :(
