Piggie with the shakes

My little Sage is really cuddley, shes hard to catch but once on my lap shes really happy and purry, she snuggles up to me and gives me kisses, everything.

But in the last day or so shes had the shakes when i have her out. She doesnt seem to be scared, no burying herself/hiding/running off. Just shaking loads, she doesnt feel cold, or eating anything cold. And shes still purring away at me.

Any ideas what could be up?

If you mean a rapid trembling every now and then this can be a way of making herself warmer. If you think it's this then try getting a warm water bottle or cuddling her in a warm fleece until she's nice and toasty. If the shakes then go away then that's what it is.

You said little - I assume that means young - I've only had elderly piggies with the 'trembles' trying to keep warm. Doesn't mean it can't happen to younger piggies too though.

Oh, and a piggy who is almost warm enough still feels quite warm to us!
