Hello everyone.

I am a new piggie owner and just adopted 2 guinea pigs named Piplup and Artemis. They are about 2 years old. I keep them in the corner of my room where I play with them. I just purchased a bundle of natural cinnamon to enhance the aroma of my room for the upcoming fall season and placed it on the opposite side of the room from the piggies. Would this create any health risks for them? Please let me know. Thanks!

I would remove it, If you can smell it standing next to the enclosure it should be removed. I do not know this for sure as I am no professional but I personally keep no types of fragrances around my piggies or animals.

Anything strong smelling, perfumes, room fragrances, sprays, candles, etc should be kept well away from guinea pigs as they have sensitive airways and strong smells can cause a lot of irritation to them.
