Piggies And Licking!

Can anyone enlighten me on why a piggie licks? Tonight is the first night i have experienced this. I'm assuming to get salt of my skin? If this is right do they then need a salt block? TIA.

I like to think it's kissies for being such a lovely mummy! Haha. I'm not sure of the actual reason but I think they might just like the taste of salt or veggie residue!
