My pigs eat better than me too.I hardly ever eat fruit or veg.Everything healthy I buy is for the pigs lol

The rats usually eat like royalty but after doing the usual socializing and cage checks for them all tonight I went to bed and then realized...I had not fed any of them! So I had to get back up again to weigh out their nightly dinners.

Fail human, faaaail. It suddenly made sense as to why they were ALL staring at me as I left the room and were still sat like that when I returned. I bet they were wagering missing lab block over when i’d realize my mistake and come back.

Our fridge is full of guinea pig food as well. Hubby always complain that it's all their food in there..haha. Also, we have 3 different types of hay for them (Oxbow Orchard Hay, Oxbow Timothy Hay and meadow hay we buy from Farm & Pet Place), they have readi grass, 3 types of biscuits/pellets and grass that we grow in the garden. If our grass goes crappy during winter, hubby and I drive around to look for grass on farm lands. Lucky we live in the country side! As far as spoilt my piggies are, I think you can say they are VERY! We even buy cardboard boxes from ebay for their house plenty of times.

I love doing the supermarket top up shop. A pile of veggies and I feel less guilty about buying snacks (well the cashier doesn't need to know the veggies are mostly for the piggies) :))

Shame on you.
Write out 10 times “ I must never forget to feed the rats “
What sort of rattie slave forgets to feed them? I agree with @Merab's Slave! It is a suitable punishment!

When I left the house this morning for work my thoughts were... “ I have no idea what I’m gonna have for my tea tonight, but my 3 girlie piggy’s have loads of choice” the piggies defo have more in the fridge at the moment than us humans do :D (must go shopping ,day off thurs!) x

I am the same with dinner tomorrow night. OH has just announced that he not here so a mid week roast is now off the menu! What on earth am I going to cook? The Piggies on the other hand are all sorted!

It was a super long day and I did remember once I lay down. I don’t know how I forgot before then especially as everyone was acting stranger than usual.

Nothing is better than making sure the piggies are well fed. I love watching them eat :)
You’re so right I love watching them too.Our 3 girls eat so politely as they all stand round & share the same bowl of food but oh so quickly.... munch munch munch & suddenly a whole bowl of food is gone x

Of course! A roast without parsnips? Unthinkable!
Can I have just the parsnips? I’m not familiar with this “roast all food” dish.

"roast all food" dish is any roast (chicken, pork, gammon, beef) roast potatoes, veg of choice, roast parsnips (obviously), Yorkshire Pud (if roast beef) and gravy, apple sauce (if roast pork):drool:

Ok I have to look up gravy to double check that. Why only the pudd thing with beef?

Oh and I remembered to feet all the rats tonight.

I want to try one but I don’t like beef.
You don’t have to have beef with them, it’s just tradition. I’m not the best to tell you what else they go with cos I’m egg intolerant and they’re made with eggs, flour & milk. So I can’t eat them which makes me sad. @Betsy can tell you better than me! x

Yorkshire pudding is a traditional accompaniment to Roast Beef. My Mum used to make the best Yorkshires. All nice and crispy and risen to perfection. I haven't quite mastered it. I will one day. The secret is a VERY hot oven I think. I always make more than I need cos I love them cold with apricot jam:drool::drool: (Yeah alright it's weird I know). A lot of people buy them frozen :vom:(nowhere near as nice as homemade) and eat them with anything. I want Yorkshire pud now:doh:!

My Nana used to make amazing Yorkshire puddings. She used to let her batter rest in the pantry for ages. Then fat (not oil) in a very hot oven. x I can’t eat them hot with gravy.. or... cold with jam (?) :vom: x

Once Yorkshire Puddings we’re served as a course of a meal with gravy. They’re filling and cheap which made them perfect for people with very little money.
@Hoppity.K is right about using very hot fat.
