Piggies being obstructive during cage cleaning!

It's mainly the little ones that do this and it drives me mad. The sequence of events is normally something like this:
- Open cage. Piggies come scuttling out.
- Pick up poos and hay and sweep hairs off the fleece. One piggy comes back in the cage and sits in the dustpan rummaging through the poos. Other piggy follows the brush around and seems to enjoy the feeling of the fleece being tugged about underneath them.
- Fold up fleece. Piggies start circling my feet and popcorning.
- Fold up towels and shoo piggies out of cage for a second time. They dive into the bin bag and drag all the hay back out again.
- Turn around for a few seconds to get clean towels. Hear a slippy scuttling sound - piggies have gone back into the empty cage and are skidding around on the correx.

And so on. mallethead


PS: As soon as I sat back on my laptop I heard the sound of something ricocheting off the wall - turned around and there's a fresh poo on the floor about 4 feet from their cage! :x
 
Oh this did make me LOL! Mine always go into their puppy play pen whilst i'm cleaning them out as I wash it all down with disinfectant, but I poop pick every day and Dottie always comes over to see what i'm up to! Also, as soon as i've done it I walk over to the bin with the poops and by the time I get back to the cage there are another load of poops! malletheadmallethead
 
Haha. My boys are classic for this sorta things, However they are so scared. I bought them a £1 paddling pool from tescos, and they sit in that while i clean them out. THey never attempt to escape, especially if bribed with yummi things.

This did make me laugh! One time we were cleaning our piggies out and Pepper decided to take a trip inside the hay bag! :))
 
lol piggies can be so bold sometimes :)) one of my piggies likes to nibble on my fingers when I'm cleaning or else he'll try grab the edge of the dustpan in his teeth and drag it around rolleyes
