I have always fed my girls Pets and Home nuggets, but recently ran out and wasn't planning a trip to the town I get them from, so bought a different brand locally, they would not touch them!
I left it 2 days but still no joy so made a special trip to get their usual brand, but now they wont eat them either!
I have tried emptying the bowl and washing it out and putting fresh in but still no joy, any suggestions?
They have plenty of hay and fresh food, but I realise that dry food is important too.

Don't panic! Just feed a bit more vitamin C veg per day and your piggies will be absolutely fine. They can survive perfectly well on a pellet free diet - thousands of piggies on the continent do and live perfectly healthy, happy and long lives. Pellets should make only about 10% of their diet anyway.

Just keep their bowl filled with a regularly renewed small amount of a mix your two brands. Eventually, they will come round again.

I would recommend that you feed a mix of different brands in order to avoid this scenario; if you keep piggies for any length of time, you will run out of their usual brand at some point. If you switch around or feed a mix, they become less fixated on just a single brand.

Thanks for the advice I never felt the need to change while they ate it, but can see what you mean now
