It was warm enough but rain clouds threaten when I put the pigs out today.

I wondered if I could find some tarpaulin somewhere in the garage, just incase... but came across our old pop up Gazebo, so I popped it up and over the Piggies run (well not to its full height). Then 5 minutes later the heavens opened :p worked a treat. My boys carried on munching on the grass. Its nice again now, so will crack on with cleaning their cage out knowing they'll be OK if we have another shower.

What a good idea :)

And what a cute, but naughty fairy :)) Imagine threatening to turn mummy into a frog :))

Yes I did turn in to a frog and she made me repeat 'Ribitt Ribitt' over and over, and when I was quiet she asked me why I had stopped, and I said 'This Frog's gone to sleep' :)) and now she's gone to sleep, peace at last, just millions of piggie poos to shift now and a load of fleece washing......all to do again this time tomorrow-c

fab idea
pleeease don't tell my boys - i fear they have worked out how to use the laptop, and have stolen a credit card already!mallethead

less a fairy and more a pixie or an imp me thinks! great idea

Brilliant pic Paula, my 2 favourite piggiesx) :) Love the shot of Cleos backside too:))
Having met your daughter "fairy" is not quite the word that springs to mind, more cheeky and mischievous;)

Great idea! I have one of those pop-up gazebos but never thought about using it that way, so thanks!

PS Cute daughter too. I love it when kids really use their imaginations to play...you never know what will happen. At least you were turned into a frog and not a warty toad, it could've been worse! :)

Hee hee, that's a fab idea indeed. Bless your little girl though, kids will go to the limits. ;) The 2ft square Gazebo's are decently priced in the Argos catalogue and I was toying whether to get one or not to go over the hutch, even if it's just for the hot weather. I like your idea best though. xx

Very clever idea, handy as summer showers don't mean cold weather, just soggy for a bit, so it's a winner for the piggies!

I'd like something similar to this, but as a permanent fixture. I love sitting and watching my piggies and well, does it ever stop raining?

Also thinking it might help the hutch last too. I'd like to make an enclosure around it too
