Packed the wheekys up today and took the over to their holiday home for 3-4 weeks while we are off to England on Tuesday.
I felt so bad when we turned up, The car was JAM packed of all their stuff 🤣
And I’ve taken up a LOT of room in the lovely ladies house! I’ve ā€˜known’ her for a few years and feel 100% confident leaving the pigs in her care. She’s a lot like me, absolutely animal mad and her house is full of rescue animals. She is very passionate about Guinea pig care, and just a wonderful person. Might take the pigs a couple of days to settle in as there is a lot going on around them, but won’t take long to make Elizabeth their temporary personal slave!
She lost one of her elderly piggies, called Poppy a few days ago (I actually adopted her a couple of years ago, but it didn’t work out with the other pigs). She was pure black like Emily, so when I got Emily out her carry cage poor Elizabeth felt a bit emotional as Emily looked just like Poppy.

My pig room is now empty, which feels odd. I miss them already! It’s going to be so strange the next two days without them here until we leave on Tuesday!

I'm sure your piggies will love their holiday with Aunty Elizabeth and be spoilt rotten. My piggies enjoy themselves when they go to Aunty Lucy's for their holidays. They get spoilt rotten with Aunty Lucy and she loves having them. Your piggies will have a lovely holiday and I'm sure you will too.

It sounds like they’ll have a lovely holiday Hannah with lots of new smells and sounds. You can relax knowing they are in the best of care
Enjoy your holidays here in the UK

Sounds as if it’s luxury holi accommodation.
Hope you have a safe journey over.
Where are you travelling in the UK?

I remember you saying you can’t get to Birmingham next Saturday but maybe there could be another opportunity to meet up with you.

I’ll be in Hull for the first 2 days and then in Scotland, can’t remember where..but it’s not far in!.. and then I’m getting the train down to London and across to Essex where I’ll spend 2 weeks!
Would absolutely love to meet up with some forum friends, I’m not going to have a car though and very tight on money so I’m not sure how possible it will be unfortunately.

have a lovely time catching up with family and friends Hannah xx
I’m a bit too far away, in Cornwall, the big toe of the UK so to speak

Have wonderful holiday in the Uk
Lovely times for you and your bf and all your animals 🄰

Would definitely love to meet you all one day, maybe not this trip but next time :D
We arrived in London a few hours ago after 2 long flights totalling about 20 hrs that I was terribly sick on! It was awful!
Then we missed the train up to Hull! but now finally on board another train for our last 2 hour leg, to our first destination  just in time for a good nights sleep!

Pleased you made it safely even though you were terrible sick. Bet you're completely knackered!

Hang in there Hannah. It will get better.
Be tough with yourself, set alarms, and get up and go outside and walk around a lot.

And remember to enjoy. I can not even imagine how joyous your reunions will be.

Glad you’re here safely and I hope you’re feeling better now.
Enjoy all the family time.

Finally arrived in Essex last night. Was very emotional and amazing to see my mum and dad waiting at the train station to pick me up.
Mum cooked me a lovely vegan stew ready for when I got in
Looking forward to having a drive about to see what’s changed in the area and going for a nice coffee and lunch at the local garden centre later today.
Shame it’s raining, but nevermind! It’s not cold!
Was quite a shock seeing Pippa, ā€˜Our’ (mums) old dog who is now 17. We got her as a rescue when she was around 2 years old. And before I went away she was going a little deaf and blind but now she is completely deaf, blind and can’t walk very much. But she’s happy enough and I’m just SO glad I’m getting to give her lots of cuddles again as it’s likely she will not be around next time I visit the U.K. it was really important for me to see little Pippa again, even if she doesn’t realise who I am anymore.

The wedding up in Scotland was lovely, I was quite stressed about it as it’s Jons friends and I don’t know anyone. But we actually had lots of fun and enjoyed ourselves! Lots of driving and travelling though. Glad I can relax now I’m with my family.

Little bit worried about home in Australia as we are experiencing terrible floods in Victoria. Thankfully our home, property and animals are all okay, just a bit wet! Flooding very close to home though, nearby towns are effected with homes underwater and lots of the roads in and out of our area are washed away. Meant to be more rain next week..just holding my breath that it stays okay at our house again!

What a lovely fur family you have. They are as crazy about animals as you are. Glad you are back ā€œhomeā€ and enjoying yourself.

Glad you’re having a great time Hannah. Would be happy to meet up next time you’re in London. Be prepared for a piggie sulkathon when you get home. Nothing a bit of coriander can’t cure tho šŸ¤—

Glad you’re having a great time!
