How much hay do you use for your piggies in the winter? Mine are indoor but it still gets damn cold in the house of a night. So I put a ton of hay in, but no matter how much I put in they are always sat on top of it when I wake up and see them. I'm concerned that they aren't warm enough.

You know how hamsters and mice make little nests? I was expecting my piggies to do that but they don't at all. I don't want them getting cold!

Mine do the same. Maybe fill a cardboard box with hay? That usually helps my lot keep warm.

One of mine makes little nests in the hay, but the otehr three just trample it.
If they are indoor piggies them why not pop in some fleece snuggle sacks for them to nest in if they are cold?
Or drape a fleece blanket over the top of their cage at night to keep the heat in and stop drafts.

Mine have a plug in electric heat pad from Petnap. It's aluminium with a metal cable cover so they can't nibble it. Mine love it and so I have a second one on order!

I got some lovely snuggle sacks and a fleece cube thingy for my new shed set up. My 'big pigs' are completely unimpressed and have ignored or trampled them down even with parsley hidden in them.

One of my babies will go into the cube, but she doesn't stay there long.

I use hay filled litter trays with either a cardboard box or a log tunnel on top. I then cover the box/tunnel with more hay as additional insulation; or to provide the nibbling monsters with an additional midnight snack. My shed pigs were all nice and toasty this morning.
