Chatting to a new neighbour yesterday whom I didn't really know, since the hedge has shed its leaves for winter she has seen me out in the garden snipping away with scissors in all weathers. It turns out all this time she has thought that me cutting the lawn with scissors means I am over the top and pedantic with my lawn care. I laughed, although I felt embarrassed, and explained I cut it for our indoor guinea pigs. I suppose to those that don't know, it does look odd, but for me it is normal part of my morning routine come rain or shine. In previous years I've even scraped away snow to get to the green stuff beneath

Lmao my neighbors thinks that we make juice out of the grass which we cut every evening. One day they came out and asked my mom tell us the recipe my mom told them that it's for our pet and then they they came to meet my piggies. 1 week later they again forgot why we cut the grass and like they again asked why are u cutting these lol. Interesting stuff

I cut the grass with scissors at my old house all year if I could. Here though there is sooooooooooooo much moss in the grass there only seems to be about 3 blades! My OH will treat it in the Spring so I will hopefully have a verdant lawn throughout the summer for my piggies to enjoy.
