Hi! has anyone ever slept with the piggies on their bed? I would NEVER try it, so don't worry, I'd be way too scared! I'm merely curious as I recently read a blog and the author said that their pigs slept on their bed sometimes.

I was once up all night massaging one of my piggies who had bloat, I was lying on the sofa and continually gently massaging his tum to try and relieve him and I fell asleep. Daft sod was still the in the same spot snoring away when I woke up several hours later, along with a pile of fresh poops! The massaging obviously worked!

:D No, I have never done it, and I wouldn't try either as I move about a lot during the night. I'd either roll onto them or kick them off! I'd worry abut them wetting the bed too! :))

me too! I've had them ON the bed during the day once... but the mess was enough for THAT idea to be a one time affair!

haha! glad your piggy felt better <3 the only massaging i've ever had to do was on a chicken who had sour crop... she didn't enjoy it but it worked!

I haven't ever had them in bed over night except when they've been ill and I've not slept but I have fallen asleep at cuddle time with the girls (well protected with a puppy pad) The girls don't tend to move at all and Crunchie will fall asleep within minutes of going on my bed. Luckily I don't move about in my sleep and it's never been for more than an hour or so. This oh so attractive shot is from last week's camping trip.

I've had my pigs on my bed before but never slept with them. Apart from the fear of hurtin them in the night, could you imagine the mess they'd make!

Plus I am guilty of booting my cat off my bed before when I've been asleep. Ooops
My cat just sleeps on my face! i have woken up with mouthfuls of cat-hair... not pleasant!:vom::xd:

:D I have a toy sleeping bear at the foot of my bed,and I frequently wake up to find him on the floor - still asleep! :))

Never a guinea pig....
But when my old bunny Esme lost her boyfriend Frodo who died...Esme slept on the sofa with my mum that evening. I believe it helped her feel close to someone after the trauma of loosing her partner after just a few weeks of being bonded for him to get ill and pass away.
But i would not with a piggie -far too small and would run around all over the place.

I would never try it but they both have visited me in bed for a short time, generally just before I get out of bed.

Thinking about it though, if I gave Fudge a blanket to snuggle in she'd probably stay where she was as we've had some lovely cuddles where she's tucked her head under my arm and settled down for a while. Biscuit would see it as an adventure, wait until I was asleep and disappear.
