Is it normal for Guinea Pigs to sneeze? One of mine has started sneezing this evening. There is no discharge from her nose. She is still very active and is eating and drinking normally.

could it just be a bit of dust in the hay or sawdust shavings (sorry don't know what you use as bedding)? Peter sneezes a bit and sometimes he has a wet nose but its clear and we've had him checked and there's no infection so we think its an allergy to either the hay we use or the washing powder, will be changing the hay when we are back from holiday

Sneezing is normal and often due to dust or loose hay particles. However, if you notice any nasal discharge or the sneezing is persistent and ongoing, then a vet visit is needed.

We use fleece. OH used a different washing power to wash the fleece. We changed it yesterday and she has only started sneezing today.

Not changed hay. Although it was getting towards the end of the bag so I don't know if perhaps its a little dusty.

Fiancé says I'm over reactIng and should stop worrying so much
