Seriously guys, there really is a broccoli shortage... they're importing from America.. All my piggies are crest fallen over this 8...

They did say the price of broccoli would be hiked.... i'd just be happy with enough to get them through a week, which isn't a lot, but they love a piece each night at supper time

That explains why the farm shop tried to charge me £3.50 for 2 pieces a couple of weeks ago-it was promptly put back on the shelf!

No broccoli in Tesco near us, Asda had some but was not looking nice and fresh for what they were charging £3+ :x
Our piggies don't have it regularly, maybe once a week so have had extra peppers and chicory which they enjoy

Bought two brocs from Asda last night, (imported from Poland :{) and was £1.10 per pack so quite excited, dated until 7/7/12...
Washed and cut the stalks off for the hungry beggars to find it was all mouldy inside >>>
Not happy piggies I'm afraid as think they could smell it grrrr
