While my hubby was away in Wales with his mum, I have put the time to good use and have appropriated the kitchen (two cages next to each other) and the hall (covered in plastic and Ikea towels) to introduce my new girls and create the piggy version of of the UK with Llewelyn from Wales, Nerys and Nia from England and Taffy and Tegan from Scotland. (Not intentionally, I might add; I actually noticed just the other day!) :))

Here are some pictures from the last two days:

Not everypig got the idea of a photoshoot straightaway!

But in the end we got there! (Specially chosen for Glynis!)

Look at Llewi sat with his four girls all around him!

Looks like all went well, great pictures - and brilliant coincidence about having a "full house"! (Anyone know of any pigs coming over from Northern Ireland any time soon...? :)))

Love the last photo, so good to see five happy and truly gorgeous guins posing so nicely.

Awww, such lovely lovely photo's! I'm glad the intro's are going well for your (not so)little family.
That photo of Nerys and Tegan is hilarious, it makes Tegan look sooo teeny tiny and the last picture is soooooooooooooooo cute, it really is. Bless their little piggie hearts x)

Wiebke, The photo's are lovely, especially the last one :)p It is lovely to see Taffy and Tegan out and about :) Nia and Nerys look good too and as for Llewelyn, well :) He must be in his element surround by all those gorgeous girlies x

Oh my gorgeous piggies x)x)
Very lucky chappie with all those girlies round him :))

x

Oh Wiebke, super pictures (as always) .... they look a gloriously happy little family and it's so good to see them all together like that.

I love what you've done to your hall to make it a Piggie Playground.

Those are great photos and they look like a really happy group :)

Fab pictures, as usual...

I'm glad it all went well for the introductions.

Oh Wiebke I'm so happy for Taffy & Tegan - the last pic actually brought tears to my eyes 8...
I'm so proud of them x)

Unfortunately - I HAVE a full house now! :( We have to leave the Irish question aside, I'm afraid...

Oh how i wish to have a big piggie family like that one day! They are sooo pretty!

I had to wait five years for this to happen! Until this spring, I could only ever have two at a time.
But I must admit having more pigs made the passing of Dizzy a lot easier. Not so much on me (I still miss her very much and would have really liked to her in the mix ), but on Llewelyn.

awww they are all so gorgeous, and so nice to see so many pictures all i get is bums from them running one way or the other lol

It took some patience, a bit of juggling and two portions of grass (mainly eaten by Nerys) to get them to settle down on the chair for a few good snaps! Not to be repeated soon... rolleyes

Love your choice of words and very politically prudent!:))

Logistically impractical too if you think about it... and would it not be as bad a looking for a certain type of colour/breed? There are surely very deserving piggies in the Coventy area. Is the Brummy accent socially acceptable in Guinea pigdom? (JOKE! please, I used to live in Wolverhampton and have kept some features of the local accent)

Is Nerys eating even more now that there is even more competition?

No, Taffy is a bad as I'll ever get with going for a specific piggy; but it is so good to see a little white and red aby whoosh round the living room again! Thankfully, apart from her big eyes, she is so different from Minx that I am in no danger of ever mixing them up! Two hours drive at a time is as much as I want a piggy to go in one go!

Nerys has been eating for FIVE pigs in the last couple of days, and hasn't done MUCH else, except putting little Tegan in her place IF she could get the energy up, or give Llewi a piece of her mind whenever he careered into her chasing a far smaller and more agile new girl! She won't even protest when Taffy is crawling underneath her - provided she has her mouth full! malletheadmalletheadmallethead

I keep coming back to this thread just to look at the last pic of them all in a line but I can't see it now that I'm in work - thanks for making it your avatar Wiebke xx>>>

Taffy and Tegan are all over the living room today. Tegan has managed to get into more scrapes than imaginable in record time, running and jumping and squeezing into all the corners the adults ignore! Even Taffy is right out into the open and seemingly not afraid of my big space!

I wish I had done this last week!

update

Tegan is popcorning all over the living room, squeezing into all kinds of nooks and crannies, jumping into the other pigs' cage and getting into all the scrapes a youngster gets into! :)):)):))

Even Taffy is wheeking, running and jumping - I can't recognise my skittish piggy anymore that wouldn't even pop its nose out of its hide for nearly two weeks! Somebody must have pignapped it! malletheadmalletheadmallethead

Brilliant news Wiebke - well done Taffy for being brave xoxo
I'm so glad they've settled in xx

Taffy seems to be a different piggy in company!

But you know - if you had tried it last week, maybe it wouldn't have worked so well. Perhaps you just got the timing perfect.
