So the piggies have decided they want to be fussy about food again, they dont like celery anymore, they borderline dont like cucumber, they've gone off their new pellets they have been eating just fine for just a month and they hate their new Kaytee's timothy hay, Their meadow hay and oat hay. So today I got desperate because I'm still waiting for my replacement timothy hay i ordered that the crowd stuffed up twice to get here so I bought them some Vetafarm fescue hay that states it is low in calcium and bag of Oxbow Natural Science adult guinea pig pellets and hoped they would eat them. They seem to love the hay and they are nibbling the pellets occasionally but now they have decided they love their Oxbow Cavy Cuisine pellets again now and polished off the lot, seriously babies why! I don't suppose any one has any ideas what I can replace the cucumber and the celery with that they can eat everyday for their brekky, they usually have capsicum, cucumber, celery, coriander/cilantro and a couple of small bits of lettuce mix. Strangely they seem to eat their cucumber at tea.

Maybe just not give it for a few days, they can become little fussy monkeys at times! :))

Mine get very fussy with foods they have every day, I have to give each one a break every couple of days. Todays reject still sitting in the cage from earlier this morning is red pepper which they grabbed from my hand yesterday! Who knows what goes on in those fuzzy little brains? Or are they just testing the patience of their willing slaves?

I try to give something a little different every day then they don't get bored of the same veggies.

I gave them some carrot instead of celery because friday is their treat day so we will see how it goes. I sliced their cucumber up in strips instead of chunks, believe it or not cutting their veg differently has worked before lol. So dad has decided that I don't feed the piggies enough (because they dont have a bowl of food the size of his head which is big lol) and was wondering if this is enough for two pigs to share twice a day. They get pellets straight after meals and hay available 24/7. Honestly I wonder sometimes if I feed them enough too but they don't wheek all day for food.
