Hi guys

Just got the shock of my life turned round to say bye to the piggies as going out for half hour to see what looked like watery blood on top of their house :( OH got Jules out as he has been the poorly one to find two poops stuck in his bum could this be the cause of the bleeding?

OH wiped the liquid and said it didn't look like blood but was more like diarrheoa

Would be grateful if anyone could help or advise - willing to do anything to help them out as don't know which one it has came from

Going to put in a new fleece as was cleaning out tonight anyway and put a white towel on top to see if this happens again

Thanks guys :(

I would put them separately on a white towel to see what happens.

It can have just been discolouration from peeing over a very fresh poop, though!

Piggy pee can be discoloured sometimes from food they eat as well.

Sorry I have no advise. :( I just really want to wish the best to whichever pig the blood/diarrhea is coming from. xx

Thanks muchly guys :)

I am just back in will put them separately on a white towel and watch them or the rest of the night until bedtime to see what happens

Update!

Boys were out on white towels and pillowcases and there was no sign of blood or diarrhoea so think I was just being overprotective as usual. Wiebke & Claire you were right as when I think of it now when the poops were stuck it was probably the pee coming over that - but I just wanted to ask if there is anything that can be done to help the piggy push the poop right out ? sorry I know not a very nice subject :(

Not really Karen, it's just one of those things. Like with impaction, all you can do is check his rear end once or twice a day and make sure his diet's good and that he's moving around normally.

Glad it wasn't blood after all. xx

Glad for you! It little things like these that yo just have to come across to learn to distiguish what's what.
