Hi,

I'm looking for someone who can board my piggies for me in February 2012.

My situation is such that my landlord doesn't mind me having my pigs here, but I'm moving out in June, he's starting viewings in February, and wants the animals "covered up". Unfortunately, I can manage that with the hamster, but not the pigs and chameleon!

I don't know how long it will take for them to get a tenant, it could take a while, but I imagine it wouldn't be long as it's a very very cheap place to live!

I have 2 pairs of indoor pigs - Boxy and Big Dave are a pair of neutered boars, and I have Jeff and Cameo, a neutered male and spayed female pairing. It makes no difference to me whether one person is able to board both pairs, or two separate people can board one pair each. All 4 pigs are incredibly laid back, and really low maintenance!

I'm located in Bristol, but happy to travel. I can bring their cages, or if you have somewhere to house them, that's fine, whatever is easiesst - like I say, they are so laid back they're horizontal! Hay and food will be provided, as well as money for their fresh veg, and I will happily pay you for looking after them!

If you're able to help in anyway, please let me know! Either send me a pm, or email me at [email protected] (please put "pigs" or something in the subject line so I don't overlook it!).

Thanks in advance!

Amanda & the pigs!

I was just thinking to myself Bristol isnt that far ... I check a map and see that its over 4.5 hrs drive ... maybe not :-(

Indeed! Maybe I'll give you a call if I get really desperate - they can hitch hike! :))

Hi Amanda I am happy to care for your piggies but bit short of space to take on Colin.

Thanks so much for the offer! Colin will probably be able to go to my old flatmate - she has lots of chameleon experience having lived with him for 18 months! It would also mean he's near the vet too, as he's still unwell!

Google maps says that you're about 2 hours from me, which is a very do-able distance for me travel wise. Would you be able to do one pair or both? They have ferplast 140 cages, (one can sit on top of the other, they don't mind being in close quarters!)

I will take all your piggies. I am glad you have somebody to take Colin as I would be nervous with him being ill. How long do you want me to care for them for?

That's the problem! I don't know how long it will take for them to find a tenant for the flat, I doubt it will take long, but it could take maybe a month? I really have no idea! Is there a time that you'd need them out by?

I'd be more than happy for you to look after them though, I think I know you well enough! ;) I know you have a good vet nearby which is another important factor for me, and that your girls are treated like princesses :)

A month or even more is fine and you are welcome to visit them as I know you would miss them like crazy. Is the vets you mean the Bromptom one? I am not sure if they are any use with guinea pigs. I really hope they would never need any vet treatment. I always wanted to meet these laid back piggies and now I can!

You're a star!

Didn't you have....was it Amina?...at the vets about her eye? Also they seem to have taken good care of Faisel!

Oh Marble you mean. I am with Blue cross and I have the maximum amount of animals under their care sadly.

Ah, I didn't realise there was a limit with them. Anyway if anything was to happen to any of them, I would be able to come and get them anyway :)

Well let us hope nothing like that happens. At least that is a worry off your mind now. All your little ones are catered for. :)

I really can't thank you enough! Will also be great to meet you :)) Ok to discuss details a bit nearer the time?
