Right i have decided that the pigs are bored which is why there is contention in the ranks...rolleyes

I am struggling to find things for them to do that doesnt not involve constantly feeding them or stuffing the cage ever more full of hay!
I have moved things around, saved my toilet rolls but after a while they get bored...

So can anyone suggest piggy games that will not end up in a disagreement? (space is an issue actually in the cage but they are having a indoor run by the end of the week so hopefully the extra space will help out as well...)

Have you got tubes for them to run through? We use bits of drain pipes!
Wooden toys to chew, willow balls. Tissue boxes filled with hay instead of loo rolls. I constantly move the toys and pigloos, log cabins around every day in the run so they don't get bored. They seem to like a change. I only kept things the same when I had a blind piggy. Some people have got hammocks which look really brilliant for the piggies to lay in :)

Sorry i need to get the thread back on track for my piglets problems please... I dont want to have to seperate them... :(

Tattyruncy... I have a tube they all use but i completely forgot about drain pipes!

This is why i started the thread.... You read about lots of things people do for their pigs but forget them after a while so need reminding!:))

I think the pigs are going to go in their run in the dining room for the majority of the day now and the cage at night... But games and things to do would be greatly appreciated!

my dayghter gave are pigs ball pool balls i was worried at first but instead of chewing it its almost like they play footy! It took a while for them to get used to the ball but now they love it! I cant think of anything else you could do that doesnt involve food i rap up chunks in newspaper for them and hang tubes stuffed with hay from the bars so they have to work for it. Maybe cut down on the hay you are putting in and stuff it in tubes instead. Good luck!

You can get treat balls that you pop some food in and they have to roll the ball to get some out... someone on here (sorry I can't remember who!) had a video of their pigs all using it, was hilarious.

Make them 'work' for their food - you can get wire balls / hangers to put veg in, as has been suggested.

Look at Pampered piggies site, lots of really good treats and activity toys on there!

Great thanks! I am off to the shop tomorrow to get them the stuff suggested and i am hoping peace will be restored soon!
Any moer suggestions also welcome...

I love the idea of a piggy bell though... ALthough Mum piggy would absolutely freak out the first few times... Maybe i can get them to ring it for food twice a day...:))

I have just remembered after reading Lincolnsmommy's post re: eating the Christmas tree that when I still lived in a flat and my piggies AND the tree were housed in the living room, the boys were in awe of the tree. Although we'd made sure they could not chew on any bits from the tree (being synthetic, I feared it could be dangerous), they loved playing around it, jump over the tripod, etc but mostly, they used toi play with the baubles! Some of ours have a bell in them and they (the pigs) used to pushed them with their noses and make them jingle! The first time was hilarious because they looked so puzzled by their own discovery! :(|):(|):(|)

so, that might be something you want to explore for yours to try out...:)
