Hello everyone. This is an update on the cabin we have built.

It's ready. Ok, the vinyl isn't down yet, but the cage was set up and the piggies are in! We did a temp test last night. Outside it was -4 (I think) and inside the cabin it was 20 degrees C. So it's warm enough.

Just transferred the piggies now and they are understandably frightened. I have added lots of fleecy things for them, in addition of their two hay trays. I have Snugglesafe pads if it gets too cold in there.

The cabin is insulated with double glazed doors and windows. The cage is a U shape, and has the same size as it was in the house, but shorter and thicker. It's 8x3 but with two 2x2 grids where the hay trays are. The black thing on the wall is a camera connected to an app on my phone. We also have a baby monitor inside.

What do you think?

Gud lord, that is amazing! :luv:

I’m packing my bags and moving in! :D

I think it is really wonderful. So good to see you back on here. Looking forward to lots of happy settling in pics of your herd!

OMG! That's even better than mine! Hubby now wants to put mine up like that! The only problem being mine are used to going out through tunnels into the outside runs! Don't know how to get round that!
Fantastic Palace for your piggies! Well done.!

Thank you everyone. We were concerned about moving them in these colder temperatures, but the heater in there is keeping it to around 20degrees C.

It's strange no squeaking coming from the front bedroom. I don't like it. The house is too quiet...and the cabin too loud!

You'll get used to it and you now have your front bedroom back.

It looks incredible - what a brilliant set up.

The one thing I would suggest (particularly as they are a bit nervous at the chaage in location) is covering sections of their cage with fleece blankets, to make it a bit less open (if you see what i mean).
My lot have lived in the same spot their entire lives, and I still clip a piece of fleece over one end of their cage to offer them a 'cave' area.

Omg :love::love: literally amazing.... how many piggies are in this palace?

WOAH, love it! :yahoo:It looks fabulous!
Honestly, I'm a bit curious to know what your neighbors think?
Hope the piggies settle in soon. x

There are 8 piggies in there.

The cabin is 12x8 feet and the cage is 8x3 grids with two 2x2 bits for the hay trays. The herd has not lost any space in their cage since moving from the house. It's just a different shape than it was.

Hiya. Loving the cabin & the new piggy palace, I’m sure the herd will adore their new pad :yahoo:x

That is gorgeous! I love the huge windows so you can see them from your house! What a beautiful setup! You'll have to get some piggy cams :D

Don't forget the microwave so you can beat up their snugglesafes and give them to your piggies as soon as they are heated.
