Please could people recommend their piggy transportation devices to me. I've had enough of squirmy pigs resisting having their nails clipped so I'm going to take them to the vets to be clipped, but need something to transport two quite large guinea pigs in. Any recommendations gratefully received.

I use a catit design cabrio and I love it! It has a regular door and opens from the top, which is so much easier to get one pig out without the others making a bid for freedom!

I use a regular cat carrier... always feel nervous carrying it with the handles tho! So cradle it like a baby

This is the one I use. It’s sturdy and you can use a seatbelt through the handle. I love it

We've got this one (though it was half price when we bought it) and the pigs love it so much that they have it as a hidey hut in their room!

I use a deep storage box so Keziah can't climb out and which they also use as a play place

Thanks for all your responses - I like the idea of being able to get one piggy out without the other one escaping so I will look at the cabrio guineapigfeet, thanks for all your responses. Kallasia, do you not find the guinea pigs chew the fabric container? I have one pig who delights in methodically pulling out threads of any fabric items that I put in their cage- or is it ok as they're not in it any length of time?

I am glad I am not the only one who does this. I am sure the handles etc are absolutely fine but the thought of it all falling apart terrifies me.

My two don't chew it at all - though they will chew just about anything else! It's not a soft fabric, it holds its shape and has a reinforced bottom :) the whole thing unzips so if someone is hiding at the back and refusing to see the vet, you zip the roof off!
