They come with their own fur coats on hun, it wouldn't be nice for them to have to wear anything else.

I think it would be cruel to dress up your pigs and much as people might enjoy seeing them they are not going to enjoy it at all. I think you should just leave them at home - but that is just my opinion

I have to agree...weddings are busy occasions, not a good place for guinea pigs!

Hey guys, we haven't asked the important question... if it's a GUINEA PIG Wedding! lol. It might be.....:<>

i also dont think you should be taking them to a wedding it would mean you will have to keep an i on them all the time incase one gets loose i also think it is cruel to dress them up, i know i wouldnt like it if i was a piggy

I must admit when I first got piggies I bought a dog hoody just to see if it'd be cute. They hated it so only had it on for 20 seconds (literally) and then it was off again (and i felt mean & it was a waste of money as it was never used again) . Don't dress them up as they just don't like it!

i think its another case of Paris Hilton and her fashion accessory dogs, except if it is a human wedding its a guinea accessory, i think it would be cruel all the noise and being passed from person to person and drinking going on what if someone dropped the guinea while drunk.my god it would traumatize the animal grrr
if it is a guinea wedding then i do apologize but i don't think dressing animals up is right

clothes are for people only

Hi there.

I don't make clothing, but I did come across this site some time ago:-
http://cuddlycavies.homestead.com/costumes.html
They are made in America but ship internationally and are v cheap. I think they are designed for photo shoots as it wouldn't be very nice keeping a piggy in it for very long, but have a look x

That is horrific :)>>> anyone who does that to guinea pigs should NOT own them.

there is a south park episode where they have used these costumes on guinea pigs.
i agree with everyone you shouldn't dress your guinea pigs up they look gorgeous in their own clothes, if you want them to wear something give them little wool hats.
why you taking them to a wedding?

Yes! In fact, the website said about the fact they supplied clothes for a South park episode.
i would hope that if people do buy them, it literally is for photos only i.e. calendars etc, but as long as I don't do it, then it's not really for me to say. I don't think people think about it when they see them though, not really.

I'm thinking that maybe the poster maybe wish they hadn't have asked now, lol. :(

The only time I wanted to dress the pigsters was at Xmas, I wanted a santa hat but couldn't find one, it was only for a photo - I would never properly dress them, they have delicate little bodies and could hurt themselves struggling to get out of the clothes.

I do however dress my Pug, but only in coats and t shirts.

Sorry to say this, but we should all realise that the author of this thread is only ten years old!!

But piggy person, guinea pigs really wont enjoy the wedding. It's too crowded and they could get injured. Also, I've heard of piggies getting hurt by being put in clothes against their will. They may also get overheated. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If you check this person's profile you'll see she's a schoolgirl whose interests are playing with her friends. Perhaps others could be a bit more sensitive with their replies. It's fine to gently put your views across about this- I agree that guinea pigs don't need to wear clothes- but some of these comments are quite harshly put. Please remember that young people use the forum. My friend's daughter has just joined and I would be horrified if someone suggested she was cruel just because she's posted something without being mature enough to have thought it through.

Check out my post I've quoted with this reply Flips. I totally agree with you

Hi Claire- I've just seen your message, you posted while I was typing! Thanks.

Piggy person- I'm sure you can find some other way of including your guinea pigs in the special day. If you tell us a bit about the wedding, perhaps we can come up with some suggestions. Perhaps you could decorate their cage in the same colour as your bridesmaid dress with some ribbon and give them a treat before you leave the house. What are their names?
