Hello fellow piggy owners!
My husband and I have a question about our little Nellie. We estimate her age of 5 months (pet store estimated age of 1 months). She has not started her 'cycles' like our other piggies. Lily and Millie started around 5 months of age. Is there something wrong with Nellie that we need to be concerned with? I have verified all of their sex to make sure they are all female. She also seems to be picked on the most by our other two. Is this normal? She eats when our other two pigs sleep but chews on everything. She has gained some weight since we brought her home. I'm just not sure if she is just a late bloomer or if there is something I should be concerned with. She talks, runs, popcorns, eat, drink, and sleep. I know we have to let them work out their issues. I am wondering if all of their ages are incorrect which would make sense. Any help would be great. I will try and get a good picture of Nellie to see what you all think. She is not as round as my other two and a tad smaller than them as well.

First picture is Lily next to Nellie.
Second is better picture of Nellie and Lily.
Third is of Nellie herself close up.

My Luna showed no signs of being in season until she was about 18 months old. Some pigs just don't have strong seasons so you just wouldn't know.

Girls start being ‘reproductively active’ from about 5 weeks old. My BB8 has very subtle seasons and I hardly ever notice them but the other two are very obvious about it. I think, as long as she is gaining weight (it might be worth having more available food stations if she feels she can’t eat whilst the others are eating) and isn’t being bullied then she’s probably fine.

Beautiful piggies.
Of my girls Merab has never shown any sign of being in season in all her 6 years
Jemimah and Priscilla on the other hand.......................

She will have had seasons from very early on in her life, they just aren't always noticeable. Out of my current 3 females I could only really tell you when Daisy is in season because she gets bossier than normal. The other two I wouldn't have a clue

From a new sow owner who has only had boars, could anyone please take a moment to describe their gp cycle as I haven't noticed anything different with my 4 females? Thanks and sorry to hijack ;0)

If they have a strong season it's like watching dominance behaviours with extra pow :)) relentless chasing and trying to hump with a lot of squealing from the poor piggy that isn't given 5 mins breathing space

We just put another feeding station inside last night. They just don't like giving her a break. 😂
