IMG_2386.webp IMG_2504.webp IMG_2570.webp so our boys are 9-10 months old now and they have both been having hormone spikes. On handling Tulio today I noticed this scratch on his nose :( is it just a case of keep a careful eye to check nothing gets worse between them?

I've cleaned it with salt water and I'll keep an eye for signs of infection.

Luckily I'm a student nurse and just about to start my summer break, with not much planned but piggy cuddles and sewing so am able to be home until September.

Please any advice! Our boys mostly get on and no serious injuries between the two of them so far. They'll eat from the same bowl although there's two of everything in the cage (4*2 c and c with 1*2 loft and daily living room floor takeover, again see pictures) Hoping that in 6 months time they'll be over the worst of the hormones and will settle down! Reassurance please! Haha

Yes, that is just a case of keeping an eye on things due to a misjudged swipe. It is not a fight with serious bites to the neck or rump with pin point deep holes where the teeth have sunk in.

If it is getting really tense, you can do a short term separation to let them cool down as long as you only do that when things are becoming really tense. Do it too often, and it can contribute to destabilising the bond.

You will find our very detailed guide here helpful; it also contains tips on what you can do to save a bond.
