Piggy feet vs paving slabs ?

Hi all

As our three have done a very good job of trimming the lawn it now needs a rest so i was going to put them on the patio and put a large tray of hay and readigrass for them in the sheltered part of the run, the rest would be paved. Will this hurt their feet as our bunsters have nice padded feet but the pigsters are a bit bare and i don't want them getting sore feet !

Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

I think that if you put at least a layer of newspaper down then it should be fine. I know that when my lot have a run on our floor (we have laminate) that it's ok for a while, but I wouldn't let them have a run on the laminate all of the time

before i got my new sheds I use to have runs attached to the sheds and they had slabs on the ground, they never had sore feet in fact it kept their nails trim, I find now the runs have grass except the one between the sheds their nails grow quicker, is the paved area outside? if so newspaper might fly away or get wet, I use to dig a clod of grass up and put that in for them to munch on, but i never had any feet problems on a paved area in years.

Mine often go on paving in the garden. It's fine, keeps the nails down. shove in some hay to eat and a tunnel/ box etc to hide in.

Mine are out regularly in our yard and they are fine

I'm no expert but i think they apapt to the surroundings to an extent.
