Piggy Isn't Using Her Front Leg

I noticed on Saturday my piggie wasn't using her front leg, I'm not sure how she's hurt it as they're on one level although she does charge about. We see the vet Monday he doesn't think its broken so gave her metacam 0.18 ml once daily. Told to go back in 2-3 days if no improvement for possibly xray but I've read there's nothing that can be done for breaks anyway so what's the point. If its a sprain how long before she uses it?

Sorry to hear about your piggie and her leg.
I am quite surprised that the vet didn't want to take a quick x-ray to be honest. The foot might not be broken, but it could be a problem higher up? Or it might be broken in which case she must be in a lot of pain.
Guinea pigs with a broken foot can treated - I read about one on this forum (maybe search 'Smudge broken foot'), but I am sure there are others who can better advise about this.
Does the Metacam seem to be helping at all?
Is she otherwise happy (eating, etc)?

That is quite a low dose of pain killer if given once a day. Can you speak to your vet about maybe dosing twice a day. There are mixed opinions on dosing but I usually like to take their fast metabolism into account when it comes to pain relief. I would ask about an xray too just to rule out a break. If it is a sprain it can take a good few days before there is any real improvement. Is she eating and pooing ok?

She is eating fine which is good I was thinking the dose for the metacam was low as it makes no difference to her tbh she still is making no effort to use it even after a dose
