Our slave put us in piggy jail today while she was “cleaning” us out. Stealing our hay more like. How very dare she! We were in there days and days (20mins max) with nothing to eat (you had fresh Timothy hay). Then she poked and prodded us everywhere (just the usual weekly check up) and we mean EVERYWHERE.

So we’d like to know where you are put during your clean out days. Where your lovely seasoned hay (dirty hay) is stolen and everything is put back wrong in your cage so you have to spend the next few hours rearranging it like it was before.

Love Pebble and Patrick

Miss Bramble do we have a case against the slave? @Betsy.

We have great sympathy with you Pebble and Patrick.
We get shut in a teeny, tiny basket which has the lid strapped down ( it’s a large basket and the lid is just closed to prevent escape )

We too have to endure the poking and prodding and Moses gets dumped in a paper bag !
( only way to weigh him )

Our slave also puts all the furniture back in the wrong place so we have to reorganise.

Maybe we need to campaign for better treatment, led by Miss Bramble @Betsy .
We may also need help from GPFANS @Viennese Furbabies

Love from Miriam and Moses

Dear Pebble and Patrick,
When our cages get a big clean we get put in a jail very similar to yours. Snoopy and Duck chewed some big chunks out of it today because their cage cleaning took too long. Hooman not too happy, she says she will have to buy a new one soon. I had to go in the jail today because my cage got made bigger, it's great. It was worth spending some time in the piggy jail. I did have my cardboard box filled with hay while I was in the jail so I was quite comfy snuggled up in the hay.
Love from Brillo

Actually our favorite is cage cleaning day. Mom does Chez first and when I figure out what she's doing I zoom and popcorn everywhere. We love a clean fleece and fresh hay. We behave for hours after a cage cleaning because we love it so much.

But we're with you on health check...

Our slave cleans half the cage at a time so we wait in the other end until we get bored then it's great fun because we run on the bare coroplast and it's like skiing weeeeeee. Slave likes sweeping the floor, she is always doing it, ten times a day. so when she's finished and put all new aubiose down we run up and down and kick it all out so that she can use her favourite brush. We love helping.

We usually spent the cleaning time under the sofa. If mummy slave behaves herself and doesn't waste too much time, we let her work in peace. When the acceptable time is up, we come out to help her. She doesn't seem to appreciate our help much though.

Piggy prison is a no-go!
You should really try to nip your slave whenever they try to put you in piggy prison.
If any piggies are interested in a self-devence course, write a wheekmail to [email protected].

Yes! Crime against piggies! On Thursday it was apparently too cold and damp to go out for grass so me, Minx, Lili and all our stuff were dumped in our outside run at the other end of the living-room (hooman says she’s fed up with protest pees under the sofa)

Dear Pebble and Patrick

It's disgraceful you are put in piggy prison while your cage is being cleaned! When Slave cleans out our hutch we are in the run in the garage and when Slave clean out our run in the garage we are in the hutch. The exception to this is winter time when it's too cold to be out in the run and then Slave cleans half the hutch out and then the other half. We love it when she does this as we can go exploring to find out what she is doing. We love running on the wooden floor of the hutch and pooping on it. Slave loves it when we do that! Maybe you should follow Snoopy and Duck's example and try to escape from piggy prison by biting your way out. Do be careful not to swallow any of the plastic as it won't do your tummy any good. I'm not a fan of the dreaded health check either!

Unfortunately, clean out day is something all us piggies have endure (the more fortunate one's of us aren't put in piggy prison) or else we would be very ill with nasty things like bumblefoot and a mouldy cage which would lead to uri's and uti's and other horrible illnesses. Who wants to live with damp and smelly hay? I wouldn't. I don't understand how it goes so quickly from being lovey fresh stuff straight from the bale to being damp and horrible. It must be magic hay I suppose.

PS My Mum Misty and I had to put up with bum trims this morning on the Ironing Board Salon. The Salon Snacks weren't up to the usual standard but there was red lettuce.

Dear Miss Bramble,

Thank you so much for your timely reply. We appreciate you are a very busy piggy. Thank you for reassuring us that this is just something we will just have to endure. We did get some nice cuddles and kisses after. So maybe it wasn’t all bad after all. And fresh hay, and fresh hay cookies. And soft, sweet smelling fleece. Hmmmmm. Not so bad after all.

We are sorry you had to endure your hair cuts at the ironing board salon. I’m sure you are looking wonderful 😍. Hope you did a sneaky pee on it just to show your slave you’re still the boss.

Love Pebble and Patrick ❤️
