So ive just been browsing on line and come across guineapig harness and lead sets! I am outraged that people are being falseley led that to walk a guineapig is safe, guineapigs are prey animals and stress very easily so to think some one would try and walk a guineapig on a lead is ridiculous, they would be terrified and would surely be at risk of attacks from prying cats and dogs? I really am shocked at this i think its ridiculous

I totally agree with that! I have seen some disgusting videos on YouTube of people walking their pigs on harnesses. They think it's ok to pull them all over the place, without a second thought about their delicate little spines! It's horrible!

I don't think the people who buy them should be blamed, they're just misinformed not educated well enough (if i hadn't joined this forum when i got my pigs i'd never have known about there delicate backs), i think it's the people who invent/manufacture them that should be blamed.

An innocent person walking in to a shop or doing online shopping, would assume that as it's in a pet shop surely it's safe for animals especially if it has a guinea pig on it ? i've always had that trouble i used to trust anything which said suitable for guinea pigs but now you have to be so careful about ingredients etc. There are so many things i've picked up that could potentially be very harmful to pigs !
