My heart almost stopped as Poppy scuttled across the table the cage was on and dropped to the floor three feet below!

I retrieved her less than a minute later, checked her over and had no squeaks of pain. She was not limping and there was no signs of swelled no or blood.

After cuddle time both piggies had their veg and both tucked in to its if they had had none today. Now Poppy is munching on hay and I amazing wtching her worriedly.

Should I worry or is she OK? I know that piggies hide things, but I'm worried sick!

I would not worry too much and just keep an eye on her for the next few days. If Poppy has made a good landing, nothing should be wrong with her. It is usually the unexpected falls with a bad landing that lead to real problems.

Thank you Wiebke. I cannot deal with anything bad happening to either of my girls, even if they are growing rapidly!

I think she made a good landing.

Even though they are afraid of cuddles, they forget their nervousness as soon as they return to their cage.

See a vet if there is a sudden deterioration, but I would not expect it. I have had comparable jumps from piggies of mine over the years that didn't cause any issues whatsoever.

Best make sure that she cannot repeat her stunt! Some piggies have an extremely adventurous bend, and especially young piggies are often not yet afraid of heights/blind jumping. I blame my grey hairs on my piggies! :mal:
