Okay...so I got my Moochi about 3 weeks ago...and she had lice....I have took her to the vet and she got a shot to clear them up...and it helped, and ive bathed her twice with lice killing shampoo for animals...and now she still has nits on her...bridge of her nose/forehead area? and i cannot get them off....i have tried three different combs for lice and fleas and even a normal one...nothing gets them off....any advice on getting these things off!?

How often apart were the baths? Did you thoroughly disinfect the cage each time you bathed the piggies (including all toys/hideys etc)?

Lice live on the hair shaft and are not parasites. Two or three baths with an effective lice shampoo usually does the trick. I have used Gorgeous Guineas Lice n' Easy shampoo several times over the years with great effect.

For stubborn infestations three baths are needed, a week apart. http://www.gorgeousguineas.co.uk/p/product/1108275513-Lice+'n'+Easy+Shampoo:+250ml/
As lice lay eggs, the piggies can keep re-infesting themselves if the cage is not thoroughly disinfected, and if the correct instructions regarding the frequency of the baths is not followed.

Wooden hideys/toys will harbour lice/eggs. I opt to throw them out when I suspect lice, just in case.

The baths were a week apart, and I cleaned her cage very good. I got rid of her old little hide thingy, it was just a big cardboard tube that came with some timothy hay in it though so it wasnt that big of a deal. Especially since she peed in it alot. The only place that isnt completely clean though is her face area, it has nits on it and I've tried cleaning it as good as i could. I just dont know what to do, I havent seen another bug on her but I'm gonna take her to the vet again as soon as I can to get another shot to get rid of them...Ill ask him i guess what I could do.
