piggy loneliness after friends death

update :) i have a very very happy fudge after we were able to find him a girlfriend :):):) she is called sookie and is 3 years old. got her from avalon rescue in notts. she had a traumatic birth a few months ago when she was left to get pregnant and because she was older all the babies passed away. she was very traumatized so was rescued and now after suffering from fungal from the trauma of the birth she has a very happy boyfriend. she has been nervous since we got her last week but is getting better around us. she follows fudge around, snuggles up with him at night and is very happy. fudge is very protective and will stand and stare out if we take her out for whatever reason or give her a stroke. its lovely to see and i am glad we have been able to bring back fudge to his old self, even more lively than before actually :):) will try and take a pic but not been able to as yet. she is jet black with spikey hair (not sure of her breed)

I am really pleased you have been able to find Fudge and girlfriend in Sookie. It must be lovely to see them getting on so well.
 
So pleased he is happy again.I had same situation with pebbles when we lost her friend fizz.She was very scared and unhappy.Tried her with couple of sows and she hated both of them.She wouldn't settle with my four others so ended up buying a baby from a pet shop I trust.Seriously thinking of taking on a rescue baby so in trio so don't have same problem again
 
That's wonderful news. My Tim is protective of his wifepig too.
 
I assume one of your pigs is neutered? It would be a dreadful shame for your new lady to go through another pregnancy after such a rough time.... I am glad that Fudge is happy now with a buddy though :)
