So I was trimming my piggie's nails, but although she's very confident she hates being picked up and handled. As I picked her up to put her back, she leaped and landed headfirst onto the floor! I felt so bad  but now she seems to be wheezing, or making some sort of colicky noise, the sort of noise you make when you crack your knuckles.
Could it be something to do with the way she landed? I don't think she'll ever trust me again..

There's no way to tell what damage may have been done, please
Take her to a vet ASAP !

In anser to your question Yes they are forgiving little soals,

Thank you, I will be sure to take her to the vets asap, just a matter of getting an appointment. She's eating and drinking fine, but has a cut on her lip area which must make it hard for her to eat.

I would take her as soon as possible as if she has internal injuries it could be serious.

She seems to be fine for a few moments, then suddenly starts breathing very quickly. Right now she's just lying down, seems to be trying to get to sleep, but I'm still worried.
Does anyone know what kind of damage I could have inflicted onto her? :(
The vets are pretty full right now, but I have called and they said they'll try and squeeze us in asap.

Unfortunately were not vets and don't have the full information nor seeing your piggy move or breath so that makes it even harder. Full diagnosis can only be given by a vet.

Please see a vet asap as an emergency. You should find local out-of-hours services either by googling or getting them from your regular vet's answering machine. Many urban areas now have got 24 hour vet services.

That sounds nasty! Please get your piggy to the vet as a matter of urgency. GPs are very good at hiding that there is anything wrong until it is very often too late.

:agr: . Please get your guinea pig seen today . Some vets offer a routine appointment service at the weekend - please make enquiries.
