Piggy Not Eating Well

Emergency needs to keep her overnight, I am so worried but she is stable. Please send her good vibes and prayers. They are requesting her vet records and will hopefully know more tomorrow. Going in to say goodbye to her soon :bye:

Keeping everything crossed. She is in the best place.

Wiley update: she is eating better today, they did x rays and blood work. Blockage has past but she has a bad infection and also an issue where her immune system is attacking red blood cells. Hopefully strong motility meds and antibiotics will help. Red blood cell issue they said could be from infection or spontaneous. Fingers crossed it goes away with the infection otherwise the prognosis is grim. She's still at the vets and we miss her terribly! I hope she's not too lonely and doesn't feel abandoned :(

It is good you know what is wrong now though. Still keeping everything crossed.

I hope she gets better - I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you. She’s in the best care.

Well unfortunately i went to feed her last night and she seemed even more poorly than when I brought her in. Literally have to force feed her and she is barely chewing so a lot of it ends up just coming back out her mouth :( I'm going to be calling my regular vet today as I fear the most humane thing may be to have her put to sleep :( I'm so devastated and I pray she makes a quick turn around.

I'm so sorry to read this!

Whatever the outcome may be, I'm sure she knows she is loved and taken care of, and that's what matters.

I'm so sorry, you know her best, sometimes the kindest thing it to let them go no matter how hard we fight for them.

Thank you everyone for your kindness. Took her back to the vet they felt like we could keep fighting it if we wanted or euthanize. My fiancé and I made the tough decision to let her go, she was just in such tough shape we didn't think it was fair to her, especially at her age (almost six) she gave us more than 5 amazing years and we miss her so much already. :(
