Piggy Paws

Yesterday I looked at one of my piggies Nuggets paws. (He really needs a trim) Anyway I noticed he has a sore patch on the base of his paw which is red and flaking. His cage is cleaned out every two days and he has a run in the garden every day (if its cold then in the house!).

My mum is reluctant to take him to the vets as we are always going in and out and its really expensive. I was wondering one what it is and two what I can do about it.:red Please help it worries me whenever something is wrong.

what is he bedded on?
mine used to have sore paws when bedded on woodshavings

I think saw dust/wood shavings contributed to my piggie's sore feet. Chrissie sells some good balm to put on piggie's feet if they sore. Have a look on www.gorgeousguineas.com
