a friend of mine who has piggies says asda are doing pellets. At the minute am using burgess excel but these are 2 quid a bag. Anyone used them ?

I never seen pellets in my local ASDA but it is a small branch. I will keep a look out

16per cent protein and .8 calcium plus other stuff.Any good?Did you read the analysis and if so is it ok.Mine are on Burgess excel but getting expensive with the babies

Hmmm the protein though high is lower than some of the popular brands and the calcium is on a par. Not as many bad ingredients like mollasses and soya though they do have calcium carbonate.

have you looked at burgess & asda's ingredients & nutritional info? Just had a quick look, at a glance they both seem to be quite similar, what do you reckon? I use burgess excel too so would be nice to know if the asda nuggets could be an alternative :)

Burgess protein is 17% and calcium is 0.9%, they contain soya and mollasses, the Asda ones don't.

I have picked these up to try as I don't think they are any worse than any other "main-steam" pellet and they are £2 for 2kg. I will let you know how they get on during the taste test! The only thing I would be wary of is the fact that they will prob increase in price after the "new" period but as they sell harringtons I imagine they will keep them cheaper than them. Also whats great is that they are cheaper than the muesli they sell so it'll encourage shoppers on a tight budget to switch! I think that is the main plus!

Ah that is a plus! Yes please keep us updated, my two go mad for their nuggets so need to keep them happy haha :)
Well I couldn't resist giving them a small sample and all 13 seemed to like them, however I will need to see how they fair over a few days / week as my pigs seemed to like fiba first on the first day but once they had "Sampled" it they then wouldn't touch it!
