There are so many lovely piggy photos on the forum and some amazing photography by members.

Any tips on getting clear, piggy pigtures? See my lovely, blob avatar photo

Black pets are harder to photograph apparently, but there are some lovely black piggy pigtures on the forum.

My main aims when taking their photos are. A good camera. Lots of natural light (difficult this time of year!). Get down to their level and food and more food to keep them still. :))

I’m pretty useless at getting good photos. If I try to get natural ones in the cages they always seem to hear me, wake up and see the phone camera and move away, so all I get is a blur of backside! I just opt for the “keep taking photos and hopefully one will be in focus and cute” approach.
I dread having to take photos for the rescue’s website. Trying to get face shots that are in focus especially in pairs or groups is just a nightmare, so that’s when Mr A comes along to help and is usually just out of shot with parsley to bribe them with and to catch any escapees....

You can set your phone camera to take a photo when you say cheese or take picture have a look in settings, it's something like voice activation

I have a trio and getting them all to stay in the right place is a nightmare. That's why most of my shots have lettuce in carefully placed spots. Natural light and try to attract the pigs attention so they are looking at you. But mostly my technique is to just take 50 shots and hope that some of them worked! Good luck and hope to see some pigtures soon!

All I do is make sure I have plenty of time, set up the photo area before I get the pigs out, lots of food bribes. For the good photos I get i must have about 20 rubbish ones, sometimes more, so it's just having patience and time to work with the pigs. I do tend to photograph the pigs i know who don't mind it the most.

Hi! I recently started taking much better pictures just with my phone (I have a camera but I gave it to a family while they are on holiday).
If you have iPhone X or older they have a option called “studio light” it makes the photos crystal clear. With any pic taken on phone plenty of light needed especially with dark piggies. Here is what I do:
1. Set a nice light background that’s different to the colour of your piggy
2. Set this up facing a window as natural light is the best
3. Place your piggy and let them look around get friendly with environment
4. Talk to your piggy and encourage with food as tour voice and the food will make them interested
5. Take A LOT of pictures that way at least a few will be good.
here are a few I took as well.799344CA-DFFE-40DA-BA8A-8EA3AEDA5426.webp480C98D0-3DA5-4E4B-A3AA-98354DC76A16.webp0A73ECD6-E500-4844-BE69-03FE3FD6C7A5.webp
