Piggy Playhouse!

Two of our guinea pigs, Yoshi and Monty Sarasen (or the squeakers as they are also known) have recently moved into their new playhouse:

They have a stable door - mesh fitted since photos so it can be left open while they are in there in the daytime (if they are not in their run on the grass), have also fitted bolts top and bottom.

This is when the boys moved in and were just beginning to explore - Yoshi is the mostly black one and Monty Sarasen is the ginger one.

It looks a bit bare and new on these photos - we have since added a nice thick black rubber matting to the downstairs floor - more tunnels and toys and lots more hay upstairs!

They lurve their piggy palace!

What a fantastic idea! Was it a pre-bought wendy house type thing? Or did you build it? Look at all that space they have! And it must be so easy to clean. Just sweep it all all! Lucky piggy boys.

It is a Waltons Playhouse:

My hubby put the lino tiles down and made the second level and ramp. The squeekers love it and have a whale of a time running up and down the stairs and jumping in the litter trays! It would be wasted on my older boys as they don't do stairs or jumping :))

what a lovely house i bet the boys love it! can i ask where you got your playhouse from? i'm looking for a reasonably priced one so i can add to my brood!:)
 
that looks great and that house isn't expensive at all - I just paid £100 for a double hutch and your play house has much more space.
 
I have to say I find this impossibly cute! The idea of the piggies having their own little house...
