New Born Pup
Hello! so, one of my guinea pigs has gone through a bunch of problems these past few months, starting with a severe hay poke in her eye. this caused her to stop eating on one side of her mouth, making her incisors unlevel. after many vet trips, we've concluded that she has a misaligned jaw, leaving one of her bottom incisors to never be ground down. today, my vet completely trimmed and filed all of her incisors as far as she could, basically leaving my pig with no front teeth for the time being. her teeth grow really quickly, but i'm not totally sure if this was the correct thing to do? she has no problem taking mushed up pellets, tablets, and water from syringes, and i am able to hand feed her small bits of hay and veggies. i just want to hear other's opinions of what my vet did. i really trust this vet, and there are basically no other vets within a two hour radius that will even take in piggies. she's dealt with all three of my pigs wonderfully. thanks for reading all of this ! lol
