Piggy train help needed please! Windwhistle Warren to Oxford for this weekend!

I need to appeal to all you lovely people for piggy train help please!

I need some help getting the gorgeous sheep pigs (see thread http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=88092) down to leafy Surrey where they are coming to live with me. Now I know it is rather short notice, but I have a friend visiting me from Oxford at the weekend so if there is anyone who can get them or help get them from Windwhistle Warren (Gloucester area) to Oxford on Saturday I would be so amazingly grateful!

So, erm, can anyone help at all?! :)

Oh there may be three other piggies coming too, for another forum member who lives near me, so if you can just squeeze them in too ") :))
 
Argh! normally I'd be able to help, I'm not a million miles away from WWW but I'm so jam packed this week (well until june 20th!), sorry :(

Thank you muchly! If we have to wait we have to wait, I am just without a motorway worthy car at the moment (my OH's has basically blown up and mine was classed as 'somewhat not safe' to dry over 60mph by my mechanic :red)
 
if anyone's coming along the M4 from Wales on Friday aft or can go from Bristol I can get from www to there...
 
Oh you lucky thing! Those piggies are stunning, sorry I can't help out but hopefully someone else can!
 
I shall be coming back from Wales on the M4 on afternoon of 19th May (sunday).

If windwhistle can meet me off the M4/M5 that day (eg Holiday Inn car park on Kingswood A4174 Bristol ringroad) you can have them delivered right to your door! Petrol cost contribution however would be appreciated.

Just another option for you!

I could do either an M4 pickup from Chieveley and take up to Oxford, or maybe a west Oxon pickup (Witney, Burford at a push) and into Oxford. Could do Saturday pm.

Thank you :) no problem with a petrol contribution, I should have said this in my original post. If we do go for this one I will have to give you my new address, and you can see my new house (you didn't miss anything not seeing the old flat lol) xx

OMG Doeeeylicious!! I am the other owner :) I am waiting for my piggies to arrive from WindWhistle too! I heard that we were waiting for the piggies to be transported after you have moved home. Hope it has not been too stressful?

I have been waiting for that damn cage to arrive and FINALLY, my boyfriend received an email saying the cage will be delivered once the extra pay of £30 is made. So hopefully it will be here by friday and then I can put all the stuff inside ready for the piggies to enjoy in :<> :<> So so so excited!

I can do windwhistle to bristol on sun 19th to meet Pebble with the pigs if you can't find a whole route for this weekend :-) x Glad to hear your cage may finally arrive Nina! It's certainly been on its travels! x

I know! I have been waiting and waiting. It went through customs so many times lol It is not the guineapigcages fault as other people have also waited long for the cage to arrive. It will all be worth it though! :)

If guinea pigs cannot make it this weekend then next weekend is fine by me (next weekend may be a bit better for me :) but I do not mind)
 
Hehe I knew it was you Nina, Alyson told me, I am so pleased I can help you get your piggies as I know how long you have been waiting :)

If they do come this weekend we have space to piggy sit for a few days in case the cage does take longer etc.

If not then I am fine to wait til next weekend, it was only as I have someone coming down on Saturday and I didn't think we would find anyone to do the whole journey - I forgot about Super Pebble and her epic piggy transporting skills ;)

Btw Nina are you going to Bobtails on Sunday? xx

Aaaah how do you know I am going to Bobtails on Sunday! You have super forseeing knowledge lol I am going to be selling my okay-ish cosies there :D Sadly I have lost the bunch I made (around 6 of them) and I just cannot find them. I never took them out of the house but will do a big look around. I have made a couple so far but by Sunday I will need to have made enough to help them.

Thank you for being so kind! I have been panicking about the cage and now it seems it will be arriving soon. It would be great if you could look after them if I am not able to get them.

Pebble sounds fantastic! I hope I will one day be able to be part of the piggy bank crew and help others... need a car but it's so expensive! (I am also terrible on motorways :)) )

Sounds like you're going for 19th, probably for the best, I remember the sheep thread and they are gorgeous x) x) Might have pignapped them lol
 
I work every saturday until 1.30pm... is that going to be a problem?

No hun, Pebble is unlikely to get to mine til after this time anyway I imagine depending on what we organise, and there is no rush for you to get them on the Saturday - if the Sunday is better for you they are fine to stay over here one night :)

Are you sure you don't mind missing the meet Alyson? I feel bad, maybe we can time it so you can still go later on?

My OH better get his flipping car back as my new hutches won't fit in mine mallethead
 
no no it's fine! I can go next time and i may not have made it anyway it was just a thought! X
