For my recent subject in St. John's Ambulance i am doing a Animal Welfare course.
Corinna and I (we were the only ones to be there yesterday) suggested a show - tell thing where we bring our small pets in.
It won't be next week but the week after so 2 weeks.
cadets is from 7-9pm.
I was thinking of taking honey and spice in a cat or some other carrier and then setting up a C&C split up so all the other piggies can sniff each other!

what do you think?
At the moment i don't have a carrier - but i need one preferably under a tenner.

I can't wait - i wanna tell piggy owners about breeds etc. like the younger ones.

Corinna has a himi and rex so can;t wait to see those!

That sounds a fab idea! wilkinsons do a smallish cat carrier for £7.99 if there's one near you. hope it goes well :)

Owhhh! I'll try there then, thanks!

What will i need in their carrier? Whats best?

If there is other sows there can i introduce them? Or is that a big no no?

No, I wouldn't introduce..it's not worth the risk of them fighting and one of your piggies getting injured..also, are you 110% sure that her piggies are healthy too? If not then your piggies could end up getting something from them.

I use fleece and hay in my carriers :) As for introducing the sows I would have to say edge on the side of caution as you dont know if they will take a dislike to each other and it is very different surroundings for them they may get a little stressed. Good luck with it and make sure they take pics!

if you are after a carrier, ask a local school if they have one to lend, many infant classes have guineas and hamsters, plus ask local vets if they would volunteer a pet carrier for a few days for you. I'm sure they would accomodate.

When I need to transport mine, I use either the box i have that was given when I bought a sow, or a cat carrier.

And in the cat carrier i put in an old baby blanket on the floor, and some hay in one corner, and some fresh cabbage or lettuce so that they dont feel too unsettled in their temp home, even if it is for just a trip down to the vets.
