Two of my pigs think its funny to kick their food bowl over, thus ruining a whole bowl of food and making themselves starve for the day when I'm at work and unable to fill it up until I get home.

It is a heavy porcelain bowl and they push it to the edge of the hutch so it falls out onto the grass and the food becomes wet and lost (the hutch door is always open for them to hop in and out).

Other than shutting them in all day so they cant knock the bowl out I have no idea what else I can do.

What do your pigs eat out of? Do they knock it over?

Pesky pigs, we use a porcelain bowl too - to avoid the tipping that used to go on at times. Ours do move them around with their noses but can not knock it out anywhere. Can you put it at corner of hutch at back or would they squeeze their heads in to shunt it still?

Cheeky monkeys!
I cannot really help you, apart from to suggest moving the bowl somewhere else.

The springs/wires that come with water bottles to attach to cages/doors, is there some way you could use that idea so it would hold the bowl to the side of the hutch?

or maybe try a bird bowl, the ones that have bits on attach to the bars/mesh of the birds cage and attach it to the hutch.

Do they not eat it off the grass anyway? Pellets are only a small portion if the diet so I wouldn't be worried about them starving.

You could give them their pellet ration at night (assuming they are shut in then) or just put the bowl outside the hutch with some sort of cover/hidey.

I don't actually give my pigs a bowl they just get a handful of pellets in with their hay.

I'm in the process of looking for long oblong pot bowls like a flower planter so that my 2 groups of 5 can sit in a row & eat out of one bowl. Something in the region of 10cm x 30cm. I'll let you know if I find anything suitable.

Ive moved it to the back of the hutch but the little monsters have tipped it over again..

@MissBubblegum I am going to try the one with the wire loop that the bowl sits in that attaches to the bar, seems like a good idea!

@Stewybus I might try that if you find something appropriate :)

Let us know if it works. Also thinking of Stewy,s tray idea, what about one of the trays you get for window boxes to catch any excess moistire?

Ok so it won't let me? No idea why so if you look on Amazon & put in Boredom breaker :)

@MissBubblegum it is quite shallow, but as I restrict my piggies' pellets it's not a problem :) They only get a rounded tablespoon each a day so I halve that & I literally only cover the bottom of the bowl then they get a second lot in the evening. Deep bowls do tip, especially if you have a piggy like one of mine who always puts their feet on the edge lol :) You can also get bowls that are wider at the bottom, they are very good too :)
