Hmmm, I am not really sure it would be kind to the piggy, It could damage its spine, not sure though

I would not have one if it was me, I think it would be better just for them to have a run in the garden

Sadly these are just another way to get money from your pocket in to the till.

Quite why these items of torture are sold for piggies is beyond me - pigs do not have a flexible spine so are at great risk of spinal injury from harnesses and leads. Most pigs would freak out and freeze with one on and end up being taken for a drag rather than a walk so very frightening for them too - if they manage to slip out (which they are very good at) then they head for the nearest piece of cover and disappear under a hedge - very scary for everyone.

Piggies should be in a secure run with a lid to protect them from predators, shade from the sun - they relax and enjoy themselves and are great fun to watch.

So don't waste your money or risk your piggy.

Leads/ harnesses are generally discouraged with Guinea pigs as it can cause spinal problems/ injuries and being flight/ prey animals things like harnesses can cause them to feel uncomfortable as it doesn't give them the oppurtunity to get away if they need to.

Personally I'd advise against it.

thanks i will definetly not get one since whilst looking them up thay seemed good for the pigs.... obviously not! i have got a big run for them already and thay sometimes run around in the big outdoor tortoise run ( under my watch because it has no roof ) I'm sure they will be fine:)
