Well when i say wont i mean its very limited. They only touch carrots and kale. Ive tried them on so much else and it barely gets a bite out of it

Hi there, do they ignore romain lettice ?
How many pigs have you got?
Are they mobile and active? Not hunched up with fur puffed up ?
Are there poos normal shape and texture? Not runny or soft
Are there tummies gassy ?
Just in case they are suffering from gas , be very carfull how you pick them up!
What dried food do you use .
The simplest answer is they simply prefer it to veg, though this is a bit unusual
NB. If you are concered in any way , a vet would be your best couse of action .

Sometimes new piggies are reluctant to try new foods (like children!). We've had piggies that wouldn't eat hay at first, some that wouldn't eat pellets at first and others that wouldn't each much veg at first. It's important to keep them healthy, so like children my approach has always been to give them a little bit of what they like mixed with other foods to try to get them to taste it and keep persisting. My 2 cages have different preferences re their veg. One cage ears all the lettuce and cucumber then leave pepper, carrot etc for hours before eating it. The other cage eat carrot and pepper first, and throw all veg out of the bowl until they are sure there is no carrot in there before touching anything else. So they do have different tastes.

By any chance have your guineas been on the grass much ? Mine won't touch veggies if they have been in the garden x

Good point! If mine have been on grass I only give them minimal veg and they sulk, but the point it that they have already had their fill of greens..

Mine expect them as they do none stop squeaking but then they don't really eat them so just don't bother as they have them on a morning anyway. Some mornings I find they haven't eaten all their nuggets either but always eat plenty of hay and no weight drop so not worried :)

They are really active and inquisitive and talkative. I'm not worried about them in that sense and poos are normal. They have grass daily and LOVE grass. They eat a lot of hay too. The pellets are in a purple and white bag (i forget the name of it though)

I have a similar issue with my 10 week old boys. They love coriander and romain lettuce, will eat a bit of carrot and broccoli but only nibble at it and they completely ignore red pepper! They have grass when they go out on the lawn and eat their nuggets (they don't finish the bowl) & they have normal poo and seem otherwise well, so I just assume they are being a bit picky! Just hope they are getting enough vitamin c!

Hi, the most important thing is that they still eat hey and palates. Are you feeding them with muesli pallets? They quite high in sugars and can make them quite picky eaters. I've put my piggies on extra vit c nuggets do fussy eaters and they started calling out for veg very quickly :-)
Please don't worry, piggies have their preferences when it comes to veg and fruits!

Purple and white bag is science selective usually (I'm not saying yours are) which are pellets, we give them to our 10.

If they were mine l would perhaps cut down a bit on the dried food and see if that made any differance?

Yes its science selective pellets. They seem on the leaner side of weight so would cutting back be advisable?

I would advise trying lots of different types of veggies. Have you tried bell peppers

Piggies love them normally, make sure you de-seed though
