Junior Guinea Pig
My Guinea family has grown since i joined the forum and i haven't been able to log in often ~ here's a few [very overdue] pics of the tribe:
Basil
Dillon
Sadly Basil and Dillon had a BIG bloody fallout and had to be seperated
then began a search for wives for them...
Lady Guinevere of Vegalot (Gwinnee me Guinea)
We saw 2 guineas advertised free to good home, a male and female living together! Guinee had already had one litter and we thought she was pregnant again, we had her partner Sir Alfie Gnome neutered a week after we had them - oh it was heartbreaking to keep them seperated, they were constantly calling to each other and nibbling each others lips through the bars x) they are now back together again & no babies ever arrived!
(Enter The Artful Dodger and Barnaby Fudge - their story and pigtures on a seperate thread to follow)
Still looking for wives for Basil & Dilllon we then got Tallulah & Gloria from another ad, here they are having some rainy day floortime with Guinee and Alfie....
Gloria, Guinee, Tallulah, Alfie [they look rather fed up in this pic - they don't like me taking photo's]
And finally Rosie who my daughter spotted in P@H adoption centre, she had suffered an eye injury and was taken off the shop floor then put in the adoption centre when she had recovered.
me (walking away)... "No no NO - we can't have any more"... my daughter..." Oh but mom - she's all on her own and someone will probably get her that hasn't got any other guineas and she'll have to live ALL her life on her own" rolleyes
So we went back and i donated a very stingy fiver for her at closing time and home she came!
She spent her 1st few days here in the ferplast cage that Guinee and Alfie had arrived with, but i was so worried that she was hardly eating and ignoring all veg given to her that i put her in the c&c with Guinea and Alfie, she didn't seem to know what a carrot was for - now she's the loudest wheeker when the veg is being prepared and races Guinee and Alfie to the dish!
