I noticed my piggy has a pink front foot today rather than the normal black patch markings. There are no lumps or sores, could this just be from wet feet?
Does the foot seem sore and inflamed/swollen? Urine scald can cause such redness, but inactivity and even fungal skin infections can lead to conditions with redness of the feet.
Thank you, that does sound possible as there is no swelling or inflammation. We have given the hutch a really good clean and will put extra bedding in to help.
We'll keep an eye on the pad for the next few days to check there are no changes for the worse.
