Pink Tissue In Anus

Hi. Our pugger (Charlie) is getting very old (7+ years old) and he has had a few health issues in his life. I recently noticed a pinkish tissue sticking out of his anus, and I am wondering if anyone knows what it is. I plan on taking him to the vet soon, but I wanted to ask just in case it needs urgent action.

I agree, that is his penis which he cannot retract fully anymore because of a thick build-up of smegma around it. You can see the start of the smegma shell around it in the picture.

I agree - it looks like his penis just needs a good clean, then he should be able to retract it again. Good luck.
