hi
yet another problem! >:( when i was getting the baby pigs out for a cuddle i noticed there's patches of pinky looking wee :'(
i haven't fed them beetroot or anything, unless carrot can :-\ so we're off to the vets at 5:30 :tickedoff:
i'm so hoping it isn't anything serious :'( it could have been dandelion i guess, they have a willow ball stuffed with dandelion in their cage, but they've only had a tiny bit if any :-\

Hi Izzy,

Where there any poop laying about? I've had very minor pink wee from Sunshine when he was a young pig but I soon realised it was when it mixed with the poop it went a pinky colour!

It's worth getting checked out, maybe put them on a white rag or old towel and see if anything develops from that.

Hope they are ok.

Louise

thanks, there were, but there's quite a few patches of it :-\ i think i'll just get it checked out anyway O0 they're on a white towel anyway O0

Ah right, Sunshine was in a white plastic basket when I noticed his. keep us posted. :smitten:

very nice vet, but the one that put mimi to sleep :'( she gave them a really good health check and said they're perfectly healthy apart from the lice (i told her about the GG stuff and she said she'd never heard of it but we can try it first) so thats good :smitten:
she said she can't see any reason for pink wee, and then we realised we'd given them ruby chard for breakfast, so she said that could be it, although the stain is quite dark on the towel. she said to see if the urine's pink from now on and if it still is in 24hrs to come back and she'll try some anti-biotics O0 i could kick myself, but i think it's good to get them checked over when you get them anyway, i always do just couldn't face it so soon after mimi :'( she said they were gorgeous, so obviously a fellow piggie lover! :smitten: so popped into the pet shop on the way back and got some lovely fresh white vet bed they've been boinging on it LOL and will see how it goes O0 but confident now that it was the chard O0 98) started crying in there and practically all the way home, just completely brought it all back with mimi :'( still miss her so much and hurt :'( :'( ahhh well, she's better off where she is, it's just so hard for me LOL! :( but at least it's a really good outcome this time! :) put my mind at rest to know that they're healthy apart from lice O0

;D don't worry clare, i don't think the vet knew LOL! :D it's a bit like spinach, but doesn't have a lot of calcium in like spinach, it tastes a bit like it though ;) it's multicoloured! :D got it growing in the garden, mum planted it LOL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Red_chard.jpg thats the ruby stuff LOL but you can get yellow, orange, silver and white too ;)

;D hehe you're not thick! it's quite unusual, the vet looked at me blankly lol!

Glad they are ok Izzy! :smitten:

My vet calls Lettuce Chocolate! 98)

LOL Well I asked would too much lettuce do harm, and she said it's like Chocolate for us too much and yes it would! ;D

oh right! I haven't seen any more pink wee when i looked all round their cage this morning, so i think we're safe on that one. PHEW! :)

izzy you will be the death of me young lady xx0 xx0 :o :o :o too many shocks aren't good for me at my age! so glad your fur babies are well, sorry going to the vets bought back all those memories with mimi. :'( :'( :'( i so know how that feels. glad some one else asked what chard was and that saved me having to ask. bet you felt 10 inches tall when you remebered the chard. now that your home and the girls are fine you can sit and laugh about it. 2funny 2funny 2funny as for mimi give it time the pain does go away but thankfully the memories and feelings of love stay with you! take care sending hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: and the girls send :-* :-*

Aw, try not to worry - hopefully it was the chard, but our Roly was passing blood last week - he's on baytril and it cleared up within a day or 2, so its treatable.

Hopefully you don't have any more pink puddles! ;)
