Pinky has a poorly eye

Ouchie, poor little fellow. Don't worry Pinkie, the nice vet will give you stuff which will make it better 🐾❤️
 
Well there is a tiny ulcer and lots of swelling. She couldn’t really see around the eye for anything that might be left in there.

5 days of eye drops and hopefully that will be it. He was a very good boy.

She did ask if Patrick had been neutered. When I said no she said I had to be careful of pregnancy 😂😂 Pinky had been registered as a girl.

That was an unfortunate incident being called a girl. Funny that the vet didn’t check for themselves.

Hope the eye mends quickly.

It’s not only vets who get confused though.
I went to visit a friend in hospital who had just had a baby boy.
The doctor came to check and referred to him as a girl the whole time.
She didn’t check the nappy !
 
Looking a lot worse this evening. 😬

He’s tilting his head now too! I’m thinking it’s because his vision is poor rather than an ear infection. I’ve looked in his ear and it looks normal.

I know he’s only had one lot of drops so hopefully it will ease tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I’m going to keep posting updated pictures so I can monitor the healing process. Might be helpful for someone in the future.

The yellow staining is the eye drops the vet put in yesterday

He has lost a little weight and he looks so unhappy. 😞
 
No just the eye drops. Obviously I’m not a vet but I’m not sure it’s a hay poke. I have a gut feeling it’s an infection. I’ve noticed him sneezing a few times today and now I think he has nasal discharge. I wish she had listened to his chest yesterday. I’m going to call them back and ask their advice.

@Wiebke and @Piggies&buns any thoughts?

That is looking very sore indeed and worse than a week ago. Please see your vet again. Your piggy may need extra oral antibiotics, painkillers and another examination/reconsideration as to what is actually going on.

I am ever so sorry.
